To Bee or Not To Bee

I spent ages yesterday trying to snap a pic of a Bee visiting the Nectarine blossoms… today, I finally got that pic!

The neighbours ate the back of the flats think (know) that I’m crazy. I forget that they sit out the back on their decking and can hear me talking to the snow peas (demanding that they flower) and see me when I spend half an hour taking pics of the same tree! Oh well – i hope they get a laugh!

Yesterday, I could not get a pic of a Bee visiting one of the blossoms on the Nectarine tree but today, luck was with me!

All the pics below are of the same Bee visiting multiple blossoms. I hope this means he was doing his job well!

With such a massive decline in the number of Bees and other propagators like Butterflies world wide, I find that i pay particular attention when I see them in the garden. Ive even been planting things specifically to attract Bees! (Bergamot, Lemon Balm and Tansy).

Hopefully the Native Bee House will prove to be a success this spring!

Happy Gardening
