This week is ‘pick your own’ week at the flats.
I had a foam box in the foyer earlier this week that contained:
Spring onions
Rocket
Lettuce

Yesterday I decided it needed to come back out in the sun so I replaced it with the lettuce you see above.

Hoping they last okay- its a bit of an experiment. …
I uprooted a couple of nice looking lettuce from the ‘back’ garden and they are sitting witg their roots in a little seaweed solution.
The container that they are in is an up turned cake container from the supermarket bakery with holes cut in tray to sit the lettuce in.
Quite proud of the invention- as long as it works! !
