I was lucky not to loose much in the heatwave… my 2 week old Golden Beetroot didn’t stand a chance though.
Tonight I replanted my foam box garden with
Golden Beets
Corriander
Shallots
Dwarf Butter Beans
And Zinia in a wooden box for some color
Fingers crossed for good weather!

Melbourne heat wave claims 2000+ lives!
RIP Worm farm :,”-(
The string of hot days in Melbourne has led to the mortal demise of the occupants of my worm farm.
Keeping them wet didn’t help with multiple days over 40 degrees.
First Big tomatoes! !

Poor seedlings- water when you can!
Remember not to let your seedlings dry out in these warm months.
Just lost most of my Chili seedlings because I was sure they could survive ‘until the morning’ without a a water. (‘Until the morning’ turned out to be three days later! )
Water when you can 🙂
Hot weather
Hot weather
The temp tomorrow us predicted at 40 before rain.
That means that the temp on my west facing stairs might top out at 55!
Ive given everything a good water and now I cross my fingers.
Its mmeant to be very hot over xmas and new years- dont know if I can head away 😦
Wear a hat!
I was ambitious enough to try to plant a few things down at the plot early this afternoon.
While it was only 25 degrees my face was sunburned in less than half an hour!
Don’t forget your hat!
